Such a fantastic exhibition Jim, love the way you've shown them with the sea as a backdrop... Can you believe I missed it by just a few days. I recognise a few of the works from the Cottesloe S by the Sea.
ReplyDeleteAre the sculptures there to stay? Or will they be taken away after the exhibition is over?
ReplyDeleteIf I were the Tamarama Council, I would select one, and leave it in place permanently.
Hels, it's a temporary exhibition that runs for about three weeks every year. The council has installed some of the artworks in permanent locations around teh area. I've actually seem some artwork from previous years in other locations around Sydney too.
DeleteThanks for sharing. I'm sorry to take so long to comment, but my computer acted up.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to reading your comment on my blog. And PLEASE link in to: http://smilingsally.blogspot.com/
Happy Blue Monday, Jim.
Very interesting and even fun to see. They don't seem to fit with the sea, though. Much too "unnatural." Will they be left there?
ReplyDeleteIt's a temporary exhibition. I'll add something about that to the post.
DeleteMy favourite from this series is the first one. Looks like something from Startrek. Beam me up Scotty! Hehe
ReplyDeletePowerful with the art works placed by the water's edge.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely idea! I think my favorite is Chardin's Table followed by Search for the Sea.
ReplyDeleteI liked 'Space' - and there's a lot of it between the roosters and the sea!
ReplyDeleteI like the images from the sculpture exhibition, Jim. However, you have back-linked to lots of water memes, but have forgotten to back-link to the City Daily Photo Theme Day page. Could you fix that, please?
ReplyDeleteJulie, I have back-linked on today's post.
DeleteFabulous!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos...
ReplyDeleteAlways worth to reach an oceans shore. Great pieces of art. Please have a good new month.
ReplyDeleteit is interesting to see all those sculpturs. They are all great work. Love them situated by the sea.
ReplyDeleteThese are quite amazing.
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing quite like this sculpture walk: unique setting and great art. Made for the theme!
ReplyDeleteLove this fantastic photo series for theme day! Lovely watery backdrop, lovely art.
ReplyDeleteLove your choices for the theme day. Thank you for sharing them with us all.
