Pyrmont, jetty and steps

Pirrama Park is located on the foreshore of Johnstons Bay, in the inner west suburb of Pyrmont. It features this concrete jetty and these concrete steps leading down to the bay inscribed with the words "Beneath the still surface of the sea".

  1. Could people fish from the concrete steps? I hope so. Fishing seems like a very peaceful passtime.

    1. Unfortunately there is a ban on fishing in waterways west of the Sydney Harbour Bridge due to measures of elevated levels of dioxins in fish and crustaceans caught here.

    1. Thanks, Grace. I'd forgotten that I posted my first post seven years ago because it was a bit later that I actually started posting daily. How time flies. :)
