The Land Titles Office is located along Prince Albert Road, off Queens Square. This sandstone office building was designed by Walter Liberty Vernon and Edward Herbert Farmer and built in 1913 in the Neo-Gothic architectural style. 'Land and Property Information' is a state government department housed here which is responsible for the land title registry which defines the legal ownership and boundaries of land parcels throughout New South Wales.
What a fantastic edifice! All those nooks and crannies--and shadows!
ReplyDeleteIt is fun to imagine the people working on this amazing structure with all its "extra detail". Buildings now are so much simpler.
