Marrickville, mural

This mural is located on the wall of a former industrial building on the corner of Railway Parade and Marrickville Road, in the inner west suburb of Marrickville. It is now an entertainment venue which is home to the Camelot Lounge and Django Bar which host live music performances and functions. The mural was created by Hugues Sineux in 2015 as a homage to dance halls and music venues. It is inspired by the film Le Bal and draws on the cubist work of Sonia Delaunay to create a merry ballroom scene in full swing, attended by an eclectic bunch of characters drawn in stylised forms.

    1. I haven't, Stefan. I've only just discovered it but I'm keeping an eye on upcoming performers and hopefully there'll be someone I'm interested in seeing perform there soon.
