This view of Allawah railway station platforms is from the footbridge leading to the concourse, in the southern suburb of Allawah. It is serviced by the T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line. This station opened in 1925 when the Illawarra Line was duplicated. The train departing the station is an Oscar (outer suburban car) which provides services from Sydney Central to Kiama.

It look very modern for its age. Love the train engine colors
ReplyDeleteThe concourse and platform shelters have been updated in recent years.

ReplyDeleteWhen we travel to Arizona we use light rail trains to get around. They are very efficient and for seniors quite inexpensive. - Margy
ReplyDeleteI'd be happy to hop on that train and go wherever it goes, all the way to the end of the line.
