Looking across the shore of Botany Bay in the southern suburb of Kurnell. The large bronze sculpture on the rocks is 'The Eyes of the Land and the Sea', designed by Alison Page and Nik Lachacjzak. It was installed in 2020 to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the encounter between Aboriginal Australians and the crew of the HMB Endeavour, commanded by James Cook. The viewing platform on the shore is a former wharf for a passenger ferry service which operated between Kurnell and La Perouse from 1890 to 1974.
