Hyde Park, Hydeaway (Theme Day: Outdoor Cafe)

Hydeaway is a cafe located in the south western corner of Hyde Park, behind the main entrance of Museum Railway Station. The Hyde Park Cafe was previously located here. The Downing Centre is the heritage building behind it, diagonally across the Elizabeth Street and Liverpool Street intersection. Originally known as 'The Piazza', it was the site of Mark Foy's department store, now converted to a court complex.

  1. It reminds me of a little cafe at Place de la Republique in Paris.

  2. Nice old building, reminds me of the custom house.

  3. I don't think I've ever noticed that open - which means I usually go past at night but that can't be correct???#Allseasons

    1. It's open 8am to 5.30pm on weekdays and closes at 4pm on weekends.

  4. When the sun is shining, this is where I would want to eat lunch.
