The Rocks, KGV

 
The King George V (KGV) Recreation Centre is located along Cumberland Street in the Rocks. It provides indoor and outdoor sports and fitness facilities and a range of community services.

    What was King George V's connection with Sydney or with recreation?

      It was built on the site of George V Memorial Playground which had opened in 1936, when the king passed away.
