The Captain Cook Bridge crosses the Georges River between Sans Souci and Taren Point. It opened in 1965 and was named after explorer Captain James Cook ,who landed at nearby Kurnell on 29 April 1770, when navigating his way around Australia. This view is from Old Taren Point Road, below the southern side of the bridge. A fisherman is fishing from his small boat on the river.
