This view of the Princes Highway is from the southern suburb of Arncliffe, looking south towards Rockdale. The highway was carved out of sandstone and footpaths have been created on either side. The footbridge is located between Arncliffe Public School and St Xaviers Catholic School, allowing students and pedestrians to safely cross over the road. This is a heritage photo from 2007 but I have recently taken a new photo here and I will share it next week.

I can see why they need a footbridge. That’s a wide highway.
ReplyDeleteLooks nice and safe with the barriers over the sides and top. Sad to think of that... So, it connects two schools. Interesting.
ReplyDeleteFrom one school to another. I wonder how much have changed here, I guess your new photo will show us just that.
ReplyDeleteSafe Way.
ReplyDeleteThat is (or was) a nice safe walkway. I'm also curious to know what changes have happened in the past 18 years.
ReplyDeleteFunctional bridge!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of heights, so not sure I would make it across the footbridge.
