Tamarama Surf Life Saving Club

The Tamarama Surf Life Saving Club sits on the cliff above Tamarama Beach, in the eastern suburb of Tamarama. The club was one of the first surf life saving clubs established in Australia in 1906. This club house was built in 1939 to replace the original wooden building which was destroyed by fire. The large sign at the front has been painted on the steps of a fitness station. The large sign has been painted on the steps which are part of a fitness station, an outdoor workout space. A couple walk past with their children in a pram and a baby carrier.

  1. It looks a bit Deco, even though in 1906 noone had ever heard of that style. I am assuming that it was built solidly to not absorb the salty sea water.

  2. This looks very welcoming. With the young family, possibly a good place for family recreation. Thank you for linking up.
