Ashfield, St Vincent's presbytry

The former presbytry is on the corner of Bland Street and Elizabeth Street, in the inner west suburb of Ashfield. This heritage listed building is attached to St Vincent's Catholic Church.

  1. I think I've told you this before...but it's true. I'm always surprised to see older architecture in Australia. For some reason I think that everything Down Under is very modern. Obviously memes are good for me as I am constantly learning something.

  2. YEGTG,
Even though Australia was only settled by Europeans 220 years ago and most of the architecture is contemporary, there really is a lot of great architecture from the past two centuries.

  3. This is a gorgeous old building, Jim. Lovely proportions. I am always swayed by verandahs!

Thanks for visiting my blog. Please leave me a message. Jim.
