  1. A great example!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.

  2. I was so busy looking at the architecture of the house that I didn't even notice the fence. :)

  3. I agree with Steffe. The outside of the house is so drab and lifeless. The fence only stands to emphasise the lack of any form of life in the garden. Front yard by committee ...

  4. I'm still deciding if I like this building or not - the fence reminicent of school day era when I would lean my bike against it and the handle-bars would get caught in the squares!!

  6. Definitely looks institutionalised now but must have been lovely in its day. Its got a turret. I love turrets. Imagine sitting up there and watching the world go by.

  7. Yes, that is one ugly fence! Could use some landscaping in the yard but the house is nice.

  8. I agree about the fence window air conditioning unit and lack of fence spoiling it somewhat. That's what happens when some of these beautiful old houses become public buildings. Hopefully, one day it will be restored to its former glory.

  10. What's up with you guys? This is a nice looking old house. It would fit right in with some of the old Victorian houses in San Francisco. The less than elegant restoration is a fine alternative to being torn down.

  12. Love the brilliant, warm, soothing and energizing sunshine and blue sky you are showing. The house is almost secondary!

  13. GW Bill Miller, you're qute right. I'd rather see it still there, awaiting restoration rather than it be torn down and lost forever.

  14. The air conditioner in the front window stands out like graffiti on a Monet.
