Erskineville, warehouse (Theme Day: Mystery Object)

This redeveloped warehouse is located along Roachford Street, in the inner city suburb of Erskineville, just off King Street in Newtown. The giant mouth, complete with teeth and a tongue poking out, is perched on the facade. There are no signs on the building that might offer any clues about this mystery object.

  5. It is pretty funny looking. It reminds me of the wax lips sold to kids - you could play with them for awhile and then chew them to get the liquid candy inside.

  8. Maybe it's a restaraunt! I know there is a Big Mouth cafe in Melbourne. A great shot whatever it's for!

  11. You found indeed a mystery there... This giant mouth is perhaps simply a piece of urban art... Well done.

  14. Joan Elizabeth, I thought it was quite suggestive too and was guilty of thinking of something less innocent than suggestions here. :)

  15. It would unnerve me to live across the street from those lips and to have to look at them every day!

    LOVE THAT REFLECTION!

Tell reflections that you love them,
    Spurn reflections, if you dare.
    Keep reflections out of darkness,
Keep them in the sun’s harsh glare!
