Botanic Gardens, Government House Gate (Theme Day: Entry)

The Government House Gate is one of the main entrances of the Royal Botanic Gardens. It stands beside the Conservatorium of Music and leads to Government House. This view is from just inside the Royal Botanic Gardens, looking back towards Conservatorium Road, Macquarie Street and the Sydney skyline.

  3. Quite a surprise to see these quaint, oldfashioned brick pillars, dwarfed by the high risers in the background! Great shot, though.

  7. I love beautiful Botanic Gardens in the middle of busy concrete cities. Those 19th century planners certainly knew how important open, green spaces would be in our crowded lives.
