Martin Place, Commando Memorial Seat

The Commando Memorial Seat is a monument located in Martin Place near Macquarie Street. It is dedicated to those who gave their lives while serving with Australian Independent Companies Commando Squadrons and Special Forces during World War 2.

    1. There are so many other benches around the Martin Place mall, so people rarely use this one.

  6. I think this is one of the nicest and most unusual memorials I have ever seen. Leave it up to the Australians. They always do it with class.
