The New South Wales Masonic Club is located along Castlereagh Street. This heritage listed building was designed by C. W. Chambers and built in 1925 in the Inter-war Commercial Palazzo architectural style. The twelve storey sandstone building was built by the Masonic Lodge as a Gentleman's Club with a notable double volume main Dining Room. The upper levels featured hotel type rooms, now known as the Castlereagh Boutique Hotel.

A good friend from work is a Mason and I got to participate in his ceremony to become the Grand Master of his Lodge. - Margy
ReplyDeleteTerrific photo. You got yourself so perfectly square in front of it, it almost looks two-dimensional, like a false front or a movie set. Great perspective, shadows, light, angles. Love it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for noticing, boromax. I did my best to get that square.
