Rockdale, Lydham Hall

"Lydham Hall" is a heritage-listed former residence and now museum along Lydham Avenue, in the southern suburb of Rockdale. It was built in 1860 in the Georgian colonial style with Victorian style influences.

  1. Kinda make me wonder if it started out as something other than what it eventually became.

    1. In the early days, these houses were on large estates. Later, the area was subdivided and many other houses were built alongside them. It's good to see a few of the original houses have survived.

  2. The wrap around veranda is still beautiful today and still perfect for Australian weather.

  3. A very attractive building. The veranda is gorgeous.
