Turrella, railway station

The entrance to Turrella railway station
from Reede Street, in the southern suburb of Turrella. The station opened in 1931 when the East Hills line opened from Tempe to East Hills. It is now served by Sydney Trains T8 Airport & South Line services. The former industrial warehouses and factories nearby have been redeveloped into high rise apartments in recent years.

  3. In my younger days, those stairs would be fun but not these days! Thanks for the info on your awesome photo.

    1. It's one of the last suburban stations not to have lifts installed yet.

  4. It's nice the industrial buildings have been repurposed! And I agree with Betty-NZ - those stairs are intimidating at my age!

  5. I'm not a big fan of so many stairs nowadays - especially going down them!

  6. Great photo, but as others have said, the stairs would be a bit difficult for me these days.
