This Lunar New Year mural has been installed in the Darling Quarter near Tumbalong Park. The artworks on opposing sides of the installation were created by Chris Yee as a modern take on classic Chinese ornamentation. The floral décor and vivid colours represent optimism and playfulness while the patterns and zodiac animals represent family, unity and strength. This side features the Rooster, Rat, Monkey, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon and Snake. The other side can be seen here.
A great work of art.
