Milsons Point, Luna Park

Luna Park is an amusement park along Olympic Drive, in the north shore suburb of Milsons Point. The  heritage listed amusement park was designed in the art deco style and opened in 1935. Luna Park has temporarily closed to install nine new rides. This view shows the Helter Skelter Cafe, Volare Wave Swinger, Lighthouse and Ferris Wheel.

  1. The famous amusement park in Stockholm, Gröna Lund could close soon thanks to the pandemic.

  2. That looks like fun. It's closed to install rides? Are you guys doing so well with covid that things like amusement parks are open? Wow. Here there are so many restrictions, and we're still trying to see even a glimmer of light at the end of the coronavirus tunnel.

    1. Yes, it had been open until last weekend. It just shut down now because school holidays ended, so the new rides can be installed. Most things have been operating normally here now, with some restrictions.

  3. My husband is a fan of amusement rides--I'm not so much. I do enjoy going along for the happy atmosphere, however.

  4. I think the last amusement park I went to was Disney. Your shot brings back memories...:)p

  5. Hard to believe that in the many many visits to Sydney over the last ten years we've never been there Jim, if travel is allowed this year might have to amend that 😊

Thanks for visiting my blog. Please leave me a message. Jim.
