A train on the T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line approaches Banksia railway station, in the southern suburb of Banksia. This heritage listed station was built in 1884 as part of the Illawarra Line from Redfern to Hurstville but this shelter and lift to the subway concourse below were installed in 2021. The Tangara or T set trains are a class of electric multiple units that entered service between 1988 and 1995.
