A train on the T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line departs Banksia railway station, in the southern suburb of Banksia. This heritage listed station was built in 1884 as part of the Illawarra Line from Redfern to Hurstville. The Tangara or T set trains are a class of electric multiple units that entered service between 1988 and 1995.
Beautiful train station view
ReplyDeleteBuses are more flexible but they ruin the air quality. Your train station is cleaner, less polluted and more fit for purpose.
ReplyDeleteWonderful shot!
ReplyDeleteTotally jealous of your passenger trains.
ReplyDeleteI wish there were passenger trains where I live. I like the combination of old (station) and new (updates and technology).
ReplyDeleteGreat shot!
ReplyDeleteThe train looks sleek.
ReplyDeleteA very efficient way to travel and we are lucky to have quite a few of these passenger commuter trains operational in our cities, Jim. Thanks for taking part in the "My Sunday Best" meme.
