This former industrial building is located on the corner of Mitchell Road and Fountain Street, in the inner city suburb of Alexandria. It previously housed the Antique and Design Centre, where a number of separate dealers sold antiques, collectables and designer items in retro styles. It was redeveloped in 2017 and now houses the Grind Pantry restaurant cafe and apartments.

Looks a bit weird to me.
ReplyDeleteYes, the unsympathetic design of the additional levels above, do look unusual.
DeleteAn unusual design.
ReplyDeleteI can see 2 different textures of building materials there, as for the antique shops I would be checking those out if they were still there.
ReplyDeleteThe Antique and Design Centre moved to a new location in the same suburb.
DeleteProbably doesn't matter to those who live in the apartments how it looks from outside.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a unique building
ReplyDelete...a blend of old and new.
ReplyDeleteRestaurant, cafe and apartments in a vintage building is my kind of place. Jim! Aloha
ReplyDeleteA very unique building. I want to go to the restaurant.
