These shops with residences above are located along Oxford Street, in the inner city suburb of Paddington. They were built in the Victorian style and are now home to Sushi Paddo, a Japanese Restaurant and Eyeballs Eyewear, an optometrist.

I'm always struck by the architecture of these classic Australian buildings - they seem quite distinctive although I'd be hard pressed to describe what distinguishes them from other structures we commonly see here.
