This former warehouse building is located along Valentine Street, in the inner city suburb of Haymarket. It now houses "A Common Being" which includes the busineses "Outta Coffee" a cafe on the ground floor, "Maillot" a shop which curates street fashion and designer brands from around the world and "Blank Gallery" a dynamic creative art space. This building was previously home to the Trinity Lutheran Church.
Are those benches outside? Looks like an interesting building.
ReplyDeleteConcrete barriers around some benches.
Deletehmm I have to say it doesn't really look like a cafe but good that the building is being repurposed.
ReplyDeleteI would love to try coffee there
ReplyDeleteWas this the suburb that was once filled with markets, carts and horses? Did Haymarket try to maintain any of its original atmosphere?
ReplyDeletePaddy's Markets is still at Haymarket today in a smaller location. The main markets for Sydney moved to the western suburb of Flemington in 1975. A lot of the old buildings were redeveloped here, including some which were taken over by the University of Technology, Sydney.
