Newtown, mural

This is part of a mural on the side of a shop and residence on the corner of King Street and Camden Street, in the inner city suburb of Newtown. It was created in 2016 by artist Nic Green, aka Nico, but has been replaced by a couple of different murals since then.

  1. Great mural. It doesn't look as if it needed replacing, as it looks quite good. Thanks for participating in Monday Murals Jim.

  2. It’s always fascinating to see how street art evolves over time, especially in vibrant areas like Newtown. Nic Green’s mural must have been a striking part of the landscape back in 2016, and it's intriguing to think about how the neighborhood’s artistic expressions change and shift with new murals. Even though it’s been replaced, the history of murals like this contributes to the cultural fabric of the area. I imagine it was a memorable part of Newtown’s ever-changing street art scene.
