
These ferries make their way across Circular Quay in front of the Sydney Opera House Sydney Harbour Bridge, viewed from the Circular Quay ferry wharves. The Scarborough is a First Fleet Class ferry acquired in 1986, which is part of the Sydney Ferries fleet which operates on the Inner Harbour. It was named Scarborough, after one of eleven ships of the First Fleet that sailed to Australia in 1787. The Balmoral is an Emerald class ferry operated by Sydney Ferries, which entered service on Sydney Harbour in 2017. It is named Balmoral after a locality on the North Shore.

Could have done with that blue sky last night, and def need this unseasonal rain to go away - my 5th Harbour life and the first time I've had to deal with rain! Normally it's sweltering!

ReplyDeleteWatching QI and they told the story of a Greek man who came to Australia, he wanted to work at the Opera House, and after 40 years he is still there. Nice view here.
ReplyDeleteThis is a familiar story of many immigrants who came to Australia. They intended to work for a few years and go back home but they liked it so much so they stayed.
