Tamarama Surf Life Saving Club

The Tamarama Surf Life Saving Club sits on the cliff above Tamarama Beach, in the eastern suburb of Tamarama. The club was one of the first surf life saving clubs established in Australia in 1906. This club house was built in 1939 in the art deco style, to replace the original wooden building which was destroyed by fire. It has recently been refreshed but the previous façade can be seen here.

  1. I always watch Bondi Rescue on tv. But their flimsy life saving box is not as impressive and stable as Tamarama's.

    1. Bondi and North Bondi have club houses like this. The "box" you see on Bondi Rescue is the surf rescue tower and Tamarama has one of those too.
