Darlinghurst, memorial (Theme Day: Pink)

This memorial is located in Green Park, in the inner city suburb of Darlinghurst. The Sydney Gay and Lesbian Holocaust Memorial was designed by Russell Rodrigo and Jennifer Gamble and opened in 2001. In the form of a pink triangle and black poles, it commemorates the gay men and lesbian women who were murdered, tortured or persecuted because of their sexuality, by the Nazis during World War II. The pink triangle was one of the Nazi concentration camp badges, used to identify male prisoners who were sent there because of their homosexuality. Green Park is near the Sydney Jewish Museum and Darlinghurst is considered the heart of Sydney's gay and lesbian population.

This mural is on the side wall of a terrace house along Trafalgar Street, in the inner city suburb of Stanmore. The sewerage vent has been incorporated as a snorkel for the diver.

Newtown, St Stephen's Anglican Church

The spire of St Stephen's Anglican Church is located along Church Street, in the inner west suburb of Newtown. This heritage listed church was designed by Edmund Blacket and built in 1874 in the Gothic Revival architectural style. The spire rises above palm trees and a monument in Camperdown Cemetery.

Newtown, school

The former Newtown Primary School is on the corner of King Street and Newman Street, in the inner city suburb of Newtown. It was designed by George Allen Mansfield as a two storey Victorian Free Gothic building in 1875, with later additions in 1892 and a three storey tower at the main entrance in 1921. It is now part of the Newtown High School of the Performing Arts. A war memorial, located just outside the school, was erected in memory of all former pupils who served in the First World War.

Paddington, Reservoir Gardens, Head On Photo Festival

The Paddington Reservoir Gardens are on the corner of Oxford Street and Oatley Road, in the inner city suburb of Paddington. The heritage listed reservoir was built in 1866 and redeveloped in 2009 to create an urban sanctuary. It just hosted an exhibition as part of the Head On Photo Festival, promoting the work of photographers at all stages of career, encouraging excellence and innovation, making photography accessible to all and raising awareness of important issues through photography.

Paddington, Reservoir Gardens

An entrance to the Paddington Reservoir Gardens, on the corner of Oxford Street and Oatley Road, in the inner city suburb of Paddington. The heritage listed reservoir was built in 1866 as a vital source of water but ceased supplying water in 1899. It was redeveloped in 2009 to create an urban sanctuary with lawns, flower beds, shaded seating and a fish pond water feature.
