Dolls Point, Cook Park

These Norfolk Island Pines are located on the edge of Cook Park, overlooking Lady Robinsons Beach, in the southern suburb of Dolls Point. The clouds were rolling in from Botany Bay to threaten the sunny day.

what a beautiful picture.

i wouldn't be surprised if these trees are called, the two sentinels.

They are beautiful, and I love the sky!

I love your composition, Jim, as always! The trees do look like sentinels! And clouds! Lovely ones! Not something I often see in your photos. Beautiful place and a gorgeous capture! Have a wonderful weekend!

I like the way the pines tower over the water's edge with the cloudy sky as a backdrop.

nice one - are they burnout tracks?

J Bar said...

Ha ha, Peter. The nearby car park at Dolls Point is notorious for burnout tracks. The grass is usually safe from burnouts. It's just a bit dry here from lack of rain.

Lovely photo, - the pines and the blue sky with the pure white clouds impressed upon it.

Gorgeous pine trees and lovely sky. great photo!

The clouds moving in certainly did not affect your lovely shot. That is so neat how those trees stand so stately.

Nice sky with the Norfolk Island pines, though they do look a bit scrawny.

Beautiful Norfolk pines and beautiful sky. I must say I'm curious about those shadows in the foreground.

J Bar said...

Namaki, those clouds did bring some rain with them by the afternoon.

Kay L. Davies, I hadn't really noticed the shadows until you mentioned them. I think it's a lamp post with a couple of overhead wires running to it.
