Arncliffe house

'Belmont' is a heritage listed house located along Wollongong Road, in the southern suburb of Arncliffe. It was built in the late 1800s in the Victorian style. The property is associated with Thomas and Alexander Milsop who made their fortunes in the Kurrajong Goldfield near Forbes. Their other property on the same block is 'Fairview'.

  1. I was struck by the similarity between this house and the one posted yesterday, which had all those trees and bushes around it. They are the same...or look that way!

    1. It seems like the two brothers built similar houses on properties side by side. Although, these days there are other houses in between.

  2. Wouldn't it be lovely to sit on the balcony and watch the world go by?

    1. I suspect they have exactly the same design with different colour schemes and this one has shutters upstairs.
