love the lovely building seems regal
That's a beautiful old building.
Lovely building! It just looks like a large mansion. Is it still used as law courts?

Thanks Manuela. I'm glad that my blog helps you dream about the world out there.
An impressive old building!
I love this type of old building--hope there's a parking lot in the back if it's still in use!
I don't think so, ProdigalWife. It's in a heritage precinct, so the buildings in this area were never designed with those sorts of facilities. In recent years it has been used by the law school of the University of Sydney.
Now that the Law School is back up on Main Campus, what is this gorgeous building used for Jim?
It seems the court rooms are still in use. I'm not sure what the rest of the building is being used for at the moment because all the old signage has been removed and there's nothing in its place.
Great photo and what great architecture.
I am trying to give a date and style to sydney's very old buildings and I loved your photo. But I can't find any details about these particular law courts. Is this building called the Supreme Court of NSW?Many thanksHelsArt and Architecture, mainly
Hels, I believe it is part of the Supreme Court but the building is known as the St James Court. You can see it on this map at the Supreme Court website.
Thanks for visiting my blog. Please leave me a message. Jim.
