The Balmain East Ferry wharf sits at the end of Darling Street, in the inner west suburb of Balmain East. Also sometimes known as the Darling Street wharf, it provides brilliant views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Barangaroo and the city skyline.
I remember that ferry - there's a lovely little park/garden on the right-hand side just a short walk from the wharf. I remember sitting under a tree there, and a magpie kept swooping down on my head. She must have had a nest nearby. Love the ferry photo.
These are really neat. The arcs in the last shot are neat.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics! I like that bridge.
ReplyDeleteHey, WAIT! Darn, I missed that Sydney boat again! My watch isn't working....
ReplyDeleteMaybe just taking the boat ride will afford one a sweeping beautiful view of the skyline.
ReplyDeleteLove the Charlotte photo.. she has good lines.
ReplyDeleteYou're right about the light over Middle Harbour and the drama of the sunset last night - it was all pretty amazing. Much more benign tonight !
