Cronulla, Elouera Surf Life Saving Club
This Elouera Surf Club is located at Elouera Beach, one of the patrolled beaches, in the southern suburb of Cronulla. Elouera is an Aboriginal word meaning 'fine view' or 'beautiful place'. The surf club at this beach was first established in a tent in 1967 but this club house opened in 2007. It provides great views over Bate Bay and the Pacific Ocean.
I have never been to a surf club (not having many surfers here!) but his looks like a nice place to be a member of.
ReplyDeleteI would join up, just to enjoy those views. Heaven on earth!
ReplyDeleteHappy holidays, Jim
Wonderful photo of an enchanting beach ~thanks, namaste, ^_^
ReplyDeleteI love the idea that it started in a tent. I think it would probably be a nice club to belong to. It certainly is in a nice location. genie
ReplyDeleteHels, the views really are spectacular and the restaurant with these views, on the other side of the building does a roaring trade too.
ReplyDeleteI would imagine many a pleasant hour would have been spent on that there balcony.
ReplyDeleteThe name seems to suit the place! I'd love a view like that.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photo of the day, a beautiful sight.
ReplyDeleteThat's a very rusty barbecue.

ReplyDeleteYes, it is fine place.
ReplyDeleteSo it's a relatively new surf club Jim, they certainly chose their spot well!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fabulous place.

It's obvious they've done very well to graduate from humble beginnings in a tent to this beautiful building.
ReplyDeleteLovely scene. I almost feel the need to slather on my sunscreen! ;-)
This area looks far more "polished" than what I saw some years ago! Good to see such a delightful face lift!
ReplyDeleteThe Aboriginal word is perfect! As are your pictures.
