Baxter's Lodge is a gate house of the University of Sydney, located along Parramatta Road leading into University Avenue, in the inner city suburb of Camperdown. It was designed by Leslie Wilkinson in the Gothic Revival architectural style and built in 1940.
Walked passed this gatehouse many a time when I was a student at this university. And the gatehouse still looks beautifully preserved.
ReplyDeleteI love this gatehouse because it looks as if the designers were trying to integrate with the rest of the 19th century university buildings. My spouse's beloved alma mater :)
ReplyDeleteLovely shadows :)
