The EJ Ward Paddington Community Centre is located at the corner of Underwood Street and McGarvie Street, in the inner city suburb of Paddington. It was built in 1898 in the Federation architectural style.
Normally I can tell Federation architecture with my eyes closed, in a dense fog. But this building is a bit individual. I am glad it has the 1898 date attached.
Those big windows are marvelous!

ReplyDeleteHels, I'm a bit frustrated because I can't find any history on this building and am surprised that it doesn't seem to be heritage listed.
DeleteThat is fantastic, such a classic style, but it looks as if it's in brand-new condition! What a wonderful find!
ReplyDeleteNo wind is going to blow that building over! It is beautiful--and beautifully cared for.
