Drummoyne, The Serpent

The Serpent is a sculpture located along the winding Henley Marine Drive, in the inner west suburb of Drummoyne. The artwork was created by former Drummoyne resident Jason Wing, an artist who identifies with his Aboriginal and Asian heritage. It was inspired by the ‘Rainbow Serpent’ from Aboriginal mythology and a ‘winding road’ street sign. The Iron Cove Bridge can be seen in the background crossing Iron Cove.

  2. There's something 'enticing' about the snake Jim, as long as it's not the real thing :)

  10. Dramatic sense of symbolism in this bold sculpture. Love the stark white in contrast with the setting.
