Kingsford, Holy Trinity Anglican Church
Holy Trinity Anglican Church is located on the corner of Sturt Street and Anzac Parade, in the eastern suburb of Kingsford. The original church on this site was known as St. Martin's Mission Church built in 1913. It was replaced by the first Holy Trinity church built in 1932 which was destroyed by fire in 1987. This building, built in 1989, was designed by Woodhouse and Danks.
Don't you just hate it when overhead wires ruin a perfectly good view? Lovely church!

Yes, it's such a shame they are so prominent in the suburbs.
DeleteJim, the overhead wires don't bother me...looks great. The building is very different, but I think it doesn't matter what's on the outside.
ReplyDeleteIt looks octagonal in shape - a bit like the Catholic cathedral in Liverpool although on a much less grander scale.
ReplyDeleteThose wires seem to suggest the business of progress competes with the quiet of more spiritual things. Unusual framing round the cross feature.
