Victoria Wharf is located on Sydney Harbour, in the eastern suburb of Watsons Bay. It sits at the end of Victoria Wharf Reserve which can be accessed from Pacific Street and provides some spectacular views of the harbour and the city skyline.
The city skyline is an interesting complement to the rustic looking pier. I also like how you composed this shot, where the pier draws your eye to the horizon.
Looks like it is missing a few noisy birds.
ReplyDeleteA lovely vista of the city sky-line from this wharf Jim.
ReplyDeleteDoes the wharf still function in the boating world? The lamps look perfectly time appropriate.
ReplyDeleteHels, it is still in use but not by the general public. These wharves and the pool in between are part of a private development.
DeleteLovely old fence !
ReplyDeleteStunning photo!
ReplyDeleteWonderful capture of the wharf reflection ~ beautiful area!
