Circular Quay, ferry

This view of the Circular Quay ferry wharf and ferries is from the Circular Quay railway station platform. The Lady Herron is a Lady Class ferry is part of the Sydney Ferries fleet operated by Harbour City Ferries. The Lady Herron was acquired in 1979 and is named after Lady Emily Herron, the wife of chief justice Sir Leslie James Herron.

  1. I realise some people suffer from seasickness, but I always thought that going to work by ferry would be such a refreshing and sunny way to travel.

  3. Ferries are really fascinating to me, especially those where the cars, buses, trucks and people all get on to the same ferry!

    1. Linda, I think we only one small one like that in Sydney but I do know there is a large one that operates to Tasmania from the mainland

  7. Only 2 Lady class left, Lady Northcott is still running around. A minor correction Jim ... Sydney Ferries has been privatized, now Harbour City Ferries.
