Monterey, kitesurfing

These kitesurfers are resting on the beach, in the southern suburb of Monterey. Botany Bay is very popular for Kitesurfing, Kiteboarding, Parasurfing, Windsurfing, Sailboarding, Sailing and Jetskiing at this time of year.

  1. quite a few of them. I was thrilled to discover that smoking is not allowed on Australian beaches, cigarette butt free sand... delight.

    1. Yes, it is great to have smoking banned from beaches and a lot of other outdoor places these days.

  3. My brothers and I always had kites when we were young (in the early 1950s) because they were cheap to create and almost never failed to fly. But your kite looks altogether more professionally made. What a joy!

  4. Thanks for stopping by our Ocala blog, Jim. Kite surfing looks like great fun but I think I'd rather sit on the beach and take photos. Looks like a very nice beach and very nice weather.

  6. It's always good to look at the warm, sunny beaches on Australia. In Kolobrzeg still rain :( no snow.
