St Thomas' War Memorial Church is an Anglican church located along Morgan Street, in the southern suburb of Kingsgrove. It was built in 1952 and the dedication reads: Lest we forget our spiritual heritage and those who died in its defence. It stands beside the former St Thomas' Anglican Church.
That's a simple, but grand church, and I love the mysterious shadows.

ReplyDeleteExcellent! St Thomas Anglican church was perfectly built as a war memorial, both time-wise (soon after WW2) and stylistically (late Deco, as were 1920s war memorials).
ReplyDeleteA solid building with an honorable purpose
