The Paddington Town Hall clock tower rising above the trees along Oxford Street, in the inner city suburb of Paddington. It was designed by John Edward Kemp and built in 1891 in the Victorian Free architectural style.

Town halls certainly captured the glamour of a town or suburb. They rose above the ordinary buildings.

ReplyDeleteThey look like flag poles but I can't recall flags hanging off them. I'll keep an eye out for them.
