It looks a lot like buildings in the city where I grew up.
That is a great looking building, but the ground floor looks empty, and the only sign I can read says, "Cafe".
Left to right are Varsity Pharmacy, which has been recently vacated, New Noble Beauty, a beautician with Thai massages, My Duo Pie and Taste of Memory which are Chinese restaurants and The Upside Cafe.
The top two of the three storeys in the building are classical and Victorian. Love them. But the shops have cheap advertising that spoils the look across the ground floor.
I agree that the ground floor shops are in desperate need of a facelift or restoration. Strangely, this building has lost its awning and it was never replaced.
Happy Aussie Day Cheers
Maybe another cafe or restaurant will move into the vacant space and then a little sprucing up can happen to all the shops.
What a grand building, replete with shadows!
I love the intricate design.
