Liverpool, Memorial School of Arts

The Memorial School of Arts is located in Macquarie Street, in the south western suburb of Liverpool. This heritage listed building was built in 1924 in the Inter-War Georgian Revival architectural style as a memorial to World War 1 veterans.

  2. I always appreciate symmetrical buildings like this and the brick entrance portico with veranda. Is there any memorial to WW1 ex-servicemen in the building?

  3. Memorials are important, yet I wish none of the wars had occurred and taken young lives. The building looks like it is a good place for arts. Very symmetrical facade.

  6. I think it's great to have these buildings actually listed down as heritage buildings. Can't imagine any of history being turned into glorified storage units if they weren't being conserved!
