Museum of Contemporary Art, The Arrival of Demons

This mural is part of an ongoing program of wall works commissioned for the Circular Quay foyer of the Mordant Wing of the Museum of Contemporary Art. "The Arrival of Demons" was created by Khadim Ali in 2017 and features characters based on the hero Rostam from the tenth-century epic poem Shahnama/The Book of Kings, which can embody both good and evil but here appear without wings, giving them a more sage-like presence.

  3. Very striking mural. They all look like clones, but serious, thoughtful ones. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
