This small communal garden is located at the middle of Windsor Street, near the corner of Elizabeth Street, in the inner eastern suburb of Paddington. It was created in 2011 when this part of Windsor Street became a cul-de-sac, to block traffic from reaching the intersection with Elizabeth Street. The community street library allows people to borrow books for free, which can either be returned or exchanged for another book.
Very colourful!
ReplyDeleteA nice small garden and a very cute Little Library!
ReplyDeleteWe have those little libraries too. Love the way they painted it!
ReplyDeleteThey seem to be popping up all over the inner city. I'll have to take more photos of them.
DeleteCOOL book box!
ReplyDeleteSure can't miss that box. :-)
ReplyDeleteWe have one of those wee free libraries. Nice and bright colours on this one, I like it.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly brightens up the neighbourhood.
DeleteI like the idea of the communal garden AND the library. Community is so important to bind us all together … joining you from Sharon's Souvenirs! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
