Looking up O'Connell Street from the intersection with Hunter Street. The heritage listed buildings along the street lead to two contemporary skyscrapers at the end of the street, Governor Phillip Tower and 1 Bligh.

ReplyDeleteJackie, in this case it was named after Sir Maurice Charles O'Connell, commander of forces and lieutenant-governor of colonial New South Wales.

Great shot! I remember how windy it is when you are walking on streets bounded by tall buildings.
