The former John Frazer & Co warehouse is located along York Street. This six storey commercial and office is a heritage building designed by G.A. Mansfield and built in 1866 in the Victorian Free Classical style with Romanesque and Egyptian influences in decoration. The two additional floors were added in 1936 in a simple style.
It looks quite distinctive.
ReplyDeleteThat's quite unique - I've never seen anything quite like this.

My Corner of the World
Very nice structure.
ReplyDeleteA whole section of our town is named as historic. It was the area of the paper mill company town built in the early 1900s. The homes are mostly Craftsman style, with very elaborate homes for the mill bosses. - Margy
ReplyDeleteGood to hear they are protecting the historic areas.
